I am an artist who makes ephemeral installations that explore line, space and fragility. My work is process-led and focuses on the innate characteristics of materials. I typically use multiple readymade objects or expanses of a single material and apply a repetitive process to them, allowing the inherent qualities of the materials and the space in which the installation is shown, to play a part in determining the form of the work.
Using familiar objects and materials in an unfamiliar way, I challenge the viewer’s perception of them, transforming the commonplace into something unexpected and strange. The space in which the work is shown becomes a part of the installation, changing how people think about the architecture or location.
